Best out there
By Alyssa Larson
My 6th graders used this binder last year and I am purchasing again for 7th grade. Last year's binders lasted 7 months before the rings started to not line up well when closed (leaving enough of a gap to allow papers/plastic dividers to slip out) and the grommets holding the 3-ring strip started to loosen, eventually allowing the metal strip to pull out of the spine. These weaknesses are utterly unavoidable, though - a 3-inch stack of paper is a lot of weight yanking on those rings. No other brand comes close to lasting this long. I didn't have to replace them last year; they limped across the finish line in June working well enough. For this year, I considered the Case-it binder that has two sets of 1.5-inch rings, but that binder doesn't have the pockets and built-in accordion file that this one has, and that feature . The zippers and cover held up perfectly all year; the zippers never stuck or detached, which is pretty impressive given that they were constantly overstuffed with textbooks, library books, notebooks, TI-84s... art supplies... food... batteries... P.E. shirts... pinecones...

Sturdy but kinda silly
By J Miller
So my son needed a big binder as part of his supply needs. Since he is new to middle school, I felt he needed something that could close up because he can be a little scattered and I didn't want his work and other supplies falling out. I saw this and bought it. I figured all those couponing ladies who use this must be on to something. Those ladies take their coupons very seriously.
Anyhow, he loves it and can fit all of his stuff in it without anything falling out. It's incredibly sturdy so it should last at least half the year. This is where the silly part comes in to play; it's enormous. I'm not being hyperbolic here. The thing is gigantic and won't fit in a backpack. This thing won't even fit in a large backpack. My son loves the darn thing so much he doesn't want a different one. He's taken to calling it his "brinder" because it's a cross between a binder and a briefcase. Everyday he brings his backpack AND carries his "brinder" to school. So he looks like a silly, little businessman middle school nerd.

Great heavy duty binder for couponing
I recently upgraded from my 'regular' 2 inch binder to this bad boy-love it! The coupon pages I use easily flip over w/ the large 3 inch binder rings for quick referencing. Zipper pocket holds my pen and coupons I have yet to organize. I didn't think I would use the 5 pocket file included, but it's proven great for holding past receipts and grocery lists for price referencing. And I love how I can zip it up and use the handy carrying handle. Now I can throw the binder over my shoulder and easily hold my reusable bags, and hang my purse over the other shoulder, and it's off to couponing, I go!
