Truly Non-Toxic for tree trunk protection
By Robert Crandall
This paint was just what I was looking for. I have an orchard and paint the young trees to keep them from splitting in the spring. They tend to allow the sap to run up but freeze at night. When the morning sun hits them the sap expands too quickly and the trees split. Does hurt them long term but if you give them a coat of non-toxic paint they don't split. I also add liquid copper to the paint to fight fungus and keep the mice and rabbits from chewing on them. Apparently the small amount of copper is still enough to override the sweet taste of the sap.
Just a note on the fungus. I was using Lime-Sulfur which works great but can kill Apricot trees. The Copper is safe for all the trees.
I notice people saying this paint was thin. The two I received were so thick I had to squeeze the paint out into a small can to paint from. Either they heard the complaints or the consistency varies. In any case if you paint tree trunks beware of the store-bought brands that say Non-Toxic. Most of them are, but only after they dry. They are not until then. This paint is Non-Toxic from the start so it is well worth the money to get it.

Sax True Flow needs NO THINNING
By Jennie M. Burt
The colors are good, but it was not as thick as I thought a medium bodied Acrylic paint should be. No thinning necessary, came out of the bottle like bottled craft paint. Coverage is less than average, good for glazing techniques.

Decent paint for the price
Not the best quality but for the price it's decent. Decent thickness, still had to use 1-3 coats on certain areas. This is NOT a gloss finish, which I did not know when I purchased. I thought it would be a glossy finish so I'm disappointed by that. I think that should be in the item description somewhere unless I missed it. If you're just doing cheap projects it works fine, if you need a higher quality you will pay more for a better paint.
