5Better than the original giant mousepad
    By Ed
I'm reviewing this after about a year of use. I used to have a Trackpadz Ripper XXL (the original giant mousepad), and at almost half the price, this thing blows the Trackpadz out of the water. I've been using this with a Razer Deathadder.

Surface is fairly smooth, probably exactly halfway between a hard gaming mousepad and a rough "high sensitivity" mousepad like the Razer Goliathus. As with all other gigantic mousepads, low sensitivity users can enjoy 1:1 mouse-to-monitor tracking without having to lift their mouse. I even lowered my own sensitivity from 2100 to 1100 to take advantage of this and did notice a bit more control when gaming.

    Build Quality:
One issue I had with the Ripper XXL was that after a year or so of use, the surface layer began to tear away from the rubber base. The Tecknet has this woven border around it, so I'm not surprised I had no such problems here. Another issue with the Ripper was that there was noticeable discoloration after a year and a half, probably due to sweat (gross, but it happens to everyone). The Tecknet, after a year of use, looks brand new. In addition, I haven't seen any pilling on the surface, as I have with some of the cheaper fabric mousepads.

    Other thoughts:
The base sticks to the desk really well. Nonetheless I feel it benefits from a cleaning every 6 months or so. Also, it's been a year, so I don't remember if there was a lingering smell or not unboxing this thing, although I suppose if I don't remember, there probably wasn't. I'm not a big fan of the giant logo at the bottom right, but I'm pretty sure every gaming mousepad I've ever had shares this ugly aesthetic.

    5Great mouse pad
    By Amazon Customer
Great mouse pad, perfect size for the keyboard and mouse, doesn't slip, well made, perfect heavy material, would have paid 3x as much for this same exact product.
